Let’s Pretend It’s Tuesday

I forgot to post yesterday because I was ex-hausted. Unfortunately, my exhaustion was not due to anything exciting, of value, or even productive. It has more to do with that every time I lay down on my bed for sleep, my fiance happens to have some show on that captures my attention. And of course, I have to watch it all the way to the end. This is not working for me, because I’ve been waking up wishing bad things on alarm every morning.

Change comes tonight: dinner right at 5:30 pm, dessert at 6:30 pm-7 pm, get ready for bed at 8:30 pm. It’s happening!

And since I’ve watched so much television lately (for me, anyway), I thought I’d jot down some notes of what I’ve seen this week:

  • Clippers – OMG! Chris Paul is my hero. Blake Griffin’s finally coming to his own. I want to stab at something when Deandre Jordan toes up for a free throw. Why isn’t JJ Reddick on the floor more? Matt Barnes’ tattoos are happily distracting. I get real happy when Crawford runs onto the floor. (Side note on Clippers vs Thunder: WTH would OK not play Mr. Three-Pointer aka Derek Fisher more??? Despite his game, still think Kevin Durant is awesome, though I’m more of a LeBron fan.)
  • Crisis – I forgot what an amazing actress Gillian Anderson is. Loved her in X-Files, but that show never showcased her talent, IMO.
  • The Following – Three things: 1) Possibly the most psychotic and twisted pair of twins in the history of television. 2) Joe in prison, again. Will it stay that way this time? 3) I’m never leaving the house again. Period.
  • Castle – So much more interesting now that Castle and Beckett not just together, but planning a wedding. Also, possibly the best looking and most adorable group of cops (plus writer) on tv?
  • The Mentalist – Patrick Jane and Lisbon, what?! And Abbott is, like, passing tips about love to Patrick? Glad Cho is still around, but miss Rigsby and Van Pelt. Still don’t like Fischer.
  • Orphan Black – Thank you BBC for MY NEW FAVORITE SHOW! And why are there no mentions of Tatiana Maslany at the Emmy’s??
  • Resurrection – I’ll admit it: I watched this because Brad Pitt had something to do on the production end of it. (Funding?) It’s one of the very few shows I’ve followed this season and has a great cast. And, Omar Epps!

EXERCISE LOG – Tuesday and Wednesday

No formal cardio, but I’ve been actively busy lately, so that’s made me feel a whole lot better.

Also, now that my calf feels a little more stable, I started busting out random sets of squats throughout my day – jump squats even! I’ll probably start incorporating some planks on a daily basis, too. I’m thinking cardio may finally come into the picture next week! Fingers crossed.
